We are continuing our Rhythms of Renewal series (watch past week's messages here) with a conversation about prayer.
We like to think about prayer as a conversation with God. Communication is important to any relationship, so why should our relationship with God be any different? At the same time, we know prayer can be a confusing thing, especially since the other partner in the conversation can often remain silent!
Here are some resources to help you and your family engage in prayer this week:
The Lord's Prayer: A template for prayer
Martin Luther and many others throughout the ages have seen The Lord's Prayer (the prayer Jesus teaches to his disciples in Matthew and Luke's gospel stories) as a template for prayer. Instead of only praying the prayer word for word, we can use the petitions as a template for engaging with God.

Thy Kingdom Come International Prayer Initiative (May 21-May 31)
Join people around the world in praying for God's Kingdom to come into the broken and sick and weary and anxious corners of our world.
